Jennifer Hudson is offering a $100,000 reward for the safe return of her 7-year-old nephew Julian King. He’s been missing since the fatal shooting on Friday of Jennifer Hudson’s mother and brother. The AP reports:
In a statement Sunday evening from publicist Lisa Kasteler, Jennifer Hudson appealed to the public for its help, offering the reward and asking that any information be given to Chicago police.
“Jennifer and her family appreciate the enormous amount of love, support and prayers they have received while she and her family try to cope with this tragedy and continue the search for Julian,” the statement said.
Chicago police ramped up search efforts for Julian around the Englewood neighborhood, where Hudson grew up, and transferred custody of a “person of interest” in the killings to state authorities.
“Detectives are working 24 hours on this case,” said Chicago police spokeswoman Monique Bond. “There’s a lot of forensic evidence. We have to work the evidence and try and solve this case. Most importantly, we want to find the child.”
Attached are the latest pics of Julian and what he was last seen wearing before he went missing. Authorities believe he’s been taken across state lines, but the murder suspect in custody, William Balfour, is refusing to cooperate with law enforcement. Presidential candidate Barack Obama offered his condolences to his fellow Chicagoan Jennifer Hudson who he had personally selected to sing the National Anthem at the Democratic National Convention in August. The actress/singer’s mother and brother were shot to death in their home while her 7-year-old nephew Julian King was kidnapped. He is still missing. E! News reports:
“Michelle and I were absolutely heartbroken to learn about this unimaginable tragedy, and we want Jennifer and to know that she is in our thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time. We also pray for the swift and safe return of her young nephew.”
The FBI has joined the search for Julian as authorities believe he’s been taken across state lines. His mother, Jennifer Hudson’s sister Julia who was believed to be missing as well, gave a press conference last night pleading for the return of her son:
“I know he’s out there. Just let him go,” Julia Hudson pleaded from the podium of the Pleasant Gift Missionary Baptist Church. The boy’s father, Greg King, stood by her side during the emotional address.
“My greatest fear has already happened,” she continued. “My greatest hope is finding my child.”

Kim Kardashian celebrated her 28th birthday at Club LAX in Vegas last night. Her sisters were of course there, and can you believe Kourtney had the nerve to show up looking way hotter than Kim? I mean, wow, what a super-bitch. I remember one time my sister showed up to an event looking hotter than me. I was pissed. Sure, maybe, it was her own wedding, and I “allegedly” had my tux on backwards; I’m a person too, Mom and Dad! P.S. If Grandma tells you I borrowed her car to solicit prostitutes again, she’s a lying bag of dementia. - - I went to the strip club.
