Celeb Gossip: Scarlett Johansson wants Kids to Eat Healthy
October 15th, 2010
Scarlett Johansson surely has a heart for children and their well-being. The Lost in Translation actress has urged the Congressman George Miller to support the Healthy School Meals Act of 2010. She feels that its the responsibility of adults to give children the nutrients and vitamins they vitally need.
This act will help children to have healthy, nutritious plant based food.
Addressing to the congressman, Scarlett wrote,
“I’m asking you to support the Healthy School Meals Act of 2010. It is our responsibility, as adults, to give schoolchildren the nutrients and vitamins they so vitally need, especially during school hours where their food intake may be monitored.”
“I am so thankful that the National School Lunch Program exists and helps children around the nation get enough to eat. But right now, many of the foods served through this program do not support children’s healthy development.”
Well, we love this gesture of Scarlett and her effort to make a difference in kids’ lives!
